About me
I'm Laura, an Advanced Integral Eye Movement Practitioner, and ADHD Clinical Services Provider. It is my passion to help others deal with and overcome traumatic events and process difficult emotions. I have run my practice for 8 years using my own lived experiences and knowledge to support clients in a safe environment with a compassionate and understanding approach.
I grew up in Devon where my late teens were marked by struggles with mental health.
I was diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and PTSD before the age of 19.

Living with chronic illness first-hand, I also understand the frustrations of the recovery process. Diagnosed with Chronic Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), my journey has shown a surprising connection: as I overcame emotional trauma, my physical pain lessened.
This experience highlights a potential silver lining to chronic illness. It can force our bodies to slow down and prioritise rest. By listening to these signals, we create an opportunity for deep healing.
I first experienced Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), through the NHS in the UK, and then became fascinated with my recovery and how quickly the shift from my traumatic memories began processing. Inspired by my experience I then studied Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT).
I focused on the negative behavioural patterns that I was continually experiencing due to looping (revisiting memories). IEMT enabled me to benefit from even quicker recovery and I no longer felt stuck.
I know from my own life experiences and from supporting others, that living with increased levels of stress and trauma can often produce both mental and physical health issues. These can be hard to address and overcome, and at times seem impossible to deal with, like a block in the way. However, with assistance, support, and guidance a positive outcome is possible, and the blocks can be removed.
